How Can I Secure My Immigration Status Under President Trump 2.0?

Writer's picture: Jennifer GradyJennifer Grady

Now that President Trump has resumed office, many clients are wondering how it will impact their immigration status.

Here's how we're maintaining our high approval rate even as policy changes unfold in real-time:

The reality?

Politics change.

Policies shift.

But preparation beats panic.

While other firms scrambled, we'd already built a bulletproof system, which we will add to over the next four years as we see the outcome of new policies:

1. Anticipate Everything

  • Obtain extra client documentation upfront

  • Provide detailed Job Descriptions

  • Make a comprehensive academic credential analysis

  • Provide clear proof of the employee's necessity to the business

  • Provide initial Strategy Session with the Beneficiary, HR, and managers

  • Develop the theory of the case early in the preparation process

2. Track Everything

• Analyze Previous Request for Evidence (RFE) patterns and use them offensively

• Be aware of agency interpretation shifts

• Tune in to Policy memo impacts

• Track Approval trends

3. Document Everything

• Project milestones

• Performance metrics

• Team structure

• Business growth

The result?

We maintained our same approval ratings.

Even when RFEs hit record highs.

Why?

Because we didn't just adapt to changes.

We stayed ahead of them.

Today, that same system protects our clients through every administration change.

Remember:

Immigration isn't just about following rules.

It's about anticipating them.

Your talent is too valuable for guesswork.

Anticipate the Next Step In Your Immigration Journey

  • If you have a visa that's expiring within the next year, start planning now to file your extension within the relevant time period.

  • Elevate your status from a non-immigrant visa to a Green Card (immigrant visa).

  • If you have been a Legal Permanent Resident for 5 years, or for 3 years if you are married to a US citizen, now may be a good time to make your U.S. status official! Apply to naturalize to become a U.S. Citizen.
