“Doing Business in the U.S.” is a course offered through UCLA Extension. It provides entrepreneurs, business managers, and international trade professionals with key business and cultural insights to do business within the mainstream U.S. market. Topics include an overview of the U.S. economy, regional and national demographics and cultural dynamics, business customs, framework of the U.S. legal system, marketing strategies, and negotiating tactics.
UCLA’s International Trade and Commerce Program primarily targets international students who come to the U.S. through an exchange program and young professionals looking for U.S. business experience before setting up their own business or working for a multinational enterprise (MNE). The Certificate in International Trade and Commerce offers a broad and comprehensive curriculum that exposes students to the business, economic, and political forces dominating the burgeoning international marketplace. Candidates completing this program are awarded the Gold Seal Certificate of the University of California signed by the Dean of UCLA Extension.
